A structured path from your first adavu to the stage

Three levels, six to eight years of training, one continuous arc. Curriculum is sequenced; movement between levels is earned.

011–2 years

Beginner

Foundation in posture, rhythm, and the visual language of dance.

  • Aramandi (basic position)
  • Tatta adavu and core adavus
  • Hasta mudras (single & combined)
  • Introduction to Carnatic music
  • Simple abhinaya
022–3 years

Intermediate

Building rhythmic complexity, stamina, and expressive nuance.

  • Advanced adavus and combinations
  • Pushpanjali, alarippu
  • Jathis and complex talas
  • Tillana compositions
  • Raga and tala fundamentals
033+ years

Advanced

Repertoire, stagecraft, and solo performance preparation.

  • Varnam — the centerpiece composition
  • Padam and javali
  • Solo choreography
  • Nritta, nritya, natya integration
  • Performance and stagecraft preparation

What to expect

The practical details

Schedule
Each level meets twice weekly. Classes run 90 minutes. Weekend batches available on request.
Class size
Eight students per batch. Movement between levels is by readiness, not tenure.
Assessment
Termly progress reviews. Performance opportunities at recitals, cultural events, and family showcases.
Tuition
Quarterly tuition is invoiced after every four sessions. Pricing varies by level — details shared at enrollment.
